Nick Raefski ('15) finished in 80th place overall, helping his Fordham University XC team take 10th place at the NCAA Northeast Regional XC Championships in Buffalo, NY. There were 268 runners and 37 teams overall.

Evan Minor ('17) and Brendan McGill ('16) finished in 86th and 94th places respectively for Bucknell University helping their team take 10th place out of the 25 teams overall at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional XC Championships at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. There were 186 runners in the race won by Villanova, with Bucknell finishing ahead of Lehigh, Lafayette and Rutgers.

Brendan McGill ('16) and Evan Minor ('17) finished in 40th and 41st places respectively, both at 26:54, for Bucknell University, helping their Bison XC team take 5th place overall at the Patriot League XC Championships at Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. There were 106 runners in the race won by Army, with Bucknell finishing behind Lehigh but ahead of Lafayette. Come out and cheer for Evan, Brendan and the rest of their team as they compete on November 15th at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional XC Championships at Lehigh University! Great job men!!!

There were 129 runners overall and this was the Rams best finish ever at the championships. Nick and his team will compete on November 15th at the NCAA Northeast Regional XC Championships in Amherst, NY.

Robert Whitney ('16) finished in 83rd place with a time of 27:18, helping his Cornell University team take 6th place at the Ivy League Heptagonal XC Championships at Van Cortlandt Park in NYC. There were 94 runners overall representing the eight teams making up the Ivy League. Robert and his Big Red team will compete on November 15th at the NCAA Northeast Regional XC Championships in Amherst, NY. Way to go Robert!!

Matt Vira ('16) grabbed 9th place, helping his Bucknell XC squad to finish in 2nd place overall at the Leopard XC Invitational at Lafayette University in Easton, PA. Matt crossed the line with a time of 26:43. There were 34 runners from four schools at the meet, with American University winning the meet, followed by Bucknell, Lafayette and St. Joseph's( PA). Great job Matt!!

There were 23 runners from 3 schools represented at the meet, with Brown University taking first place, followed by URI and Hofstra.

He finished 2nd on his team with a time of 24:39, helping the Rams take 5th place overall out of 24 teams and 240 runners. Fordham finished behind Stony Brook Connecticut, La Salle and Boston University. Awesome job Nick!!

Voorhees XC was well represented at the 2019 Paul Short XC Invitational at Lehigh University in Bethlehem , PA. Four VHS alumni were on hand, running strong for their respective college teams.
Lauren Wagner ('19) led the way for her American University team. She is having an amazing first season for the Eagles, finishing first for her team in each of the four meets they have competed in this season. At Paul Short, she finished in 32nd place out of 368 runners in the brown race with a time of 21:57, helping American finish 14th out of 44 teams. In the race, she finished 2nd out of all Patriot League women and 6th among all freshmen.

In the men's gold race, Robert Whitney ('16) took 194th place out of 395 runners with a time of 25:05, helping his Cornell University team finish 21st out of the 45 teams. Great job Robert!
In the men's brown race, Matt Vira ('16) took 214th place out of 393 runners with a time of 26:24, helping his Bucknell University team finish in 20th place out of 44 teams. Way to go Matt!!
In the women's gold race, Nikki Cassavell ('18) finished 344th out of 377 runners with a time of 23:28, helping her Rhode Island University team take 39th place out of 43 teams.

Evan Minor ('17) finished in 88th place overall (5th for the team) with a time of 26:04 and Brendan McGill grabbed 126th place in 26:56 on Friday at the UVA Panorama Farms 8km Invitational in Earlysville, VA. Evan and Brendan both represent Bucknell University. There were 164 runners representing 16 teams at the meet and Bucknell finished in 13th place. Nice job men!!

Fordham and Cornell finished in 5th and 9th places respectively, with 18 teams and 153 runners represented in the race. Great job men!!!

Daniel McConnell ('19) finished in 39th place with a time of 27:36 for Bates College at the Bates Super XC 8km Shootout in Gray, Maine. There were 76 runners in the race and Daniel placed 11th of the 25 freshmen. Bates finished in first place overall, ahead of Connecticut College, Tufts, Middlebury and Southern Maine.

Bucknell on Saturday at the Harry Lang Invitational at Colgate University. There were 83 runners in the 6.4km race and

At the Pitt Panther Opener on August 30, Brendan McGill (’16) finished in 12th place with a time of 18:33, Evan Minor (’17) finished in 26th place with a time of 19:10, and Matt Vira (‘16) finished in 45th place with a time of 40:43. Bucknell finished in 2nd place overall behind Pitt. The race was on held the grounds of the iconic Carrie Blast Furnace National Historic Landmark outside of Pittsburgh. Great job gentlemen!!
Lauren Wagner (’19) led the way for the American University women, finishing in 27th place with a time of 19:15 at the Mount St. Mary’s 5k Duals in Emmitsburg, MD. American finished in 6th place overall. Awesome first race Lauren!!

Former Voorhees Girls' head coach Justin Cassavell has been named the 2019 NJAC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year by her peers as she led the Ramapo College program to its first NJAC Title in the nearly 60 year history of the NJAC Cross Country Championships. Six of her Ramapo College Roadrunners earned NJAC All-Conference honors. This is the second time Coach Cassavell has received this honor, having previously won the award in 2015.
Ramapo College continues to be a contender on the national scene in both cross country and track & field. Most recently Jeremy Hernandez became the NCAA Division III Indoor Champion in the men’s mile with a national record time of 3.59.01. He is the first NCAA Division III student-athlete to break a four-minute mile in the history of the sport.
Under Coach Cassavell, 14 individuals have qualified for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships and she has mentored nine more to become NCAA All-Americans. Eight individual Ramapo women have qualified for the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships and four earned NCAA All-American honors. Amber Edwards became the 2018 NCAA Indoor National Champion in the triple jump with a mark of 12.52-meters (41’ 1.00”).
The Roadrunners return to action on November 16th when they travel to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships held in Canton, NY.
